Savanah Rose, One Year Old

Savanah Rose, One Year Old

A Poem by smilemore

Savannah my dear,

These letters, for you, here,

Will take you step by step through your life,

Preparing you to one day been an amazing wife.

For now though, you are still so tiny,

Keeping me up all night, a little whiney.

My girl, you just turned one,

What an exciting age, this should be fun.

You are walking now,

Don't grow up, mommy does not allow.

Your sweet, innocent face,

May your life be filled with grace.

You said your first word, yay!

It was mama! Daddy was upset, but he’ll be okay.

Second word was dada though,

You should’ve seen his face, you made him glow!

This year has been so amazing, thank you Savannah Rose,

You make my life amazing, I’m so happy, it shows.

First off, that is a beautiful name: Savannah Rose. One day, she will read this and smile at the love and pride she stirred in you with her mere existence. Parenting and poem win!

Thank you, that means so much!!
What a blessing your Savanah Rose has been to both her mummy and daddy., and it is early days yet. I hope she continues to bring you both much joy. Your poem was heart warming to read and I could feel that tender love from a mother still in awe of her babe.
