Tell Me You Love Me, PleaseA Poem by smilemoreYou tell me I’m cute, But I’ve never been beautiful to you. I live my life begging for your affection, You tell me I’m your everything, Am I really? I am a slave to your needs, You call, I answer. I’m everything a man, you, could ever want. I love you with everything I have. You compliment other girls, Say it means nothing, I envy them, I wish you'd compliment me that way. All you ever tell me is how to live my life, Worshiping your every move, I've grown used to this treatment from you. However, I still love you I tell you everyday, guess you don’t hear me. Thats fine, it’s been this way for five years now. I still however wonder, what would I have to do? How can I get the passion you have for everyone else, The desire to have feelings of love, Which I know you do, why wont you tell me I love you! Say it back, Please, I can’t keep living my life this way, Living in your shadows, unseen to the world. I want us to agree and you to admit your feelings, I need you to, I’m giving up on us. How hard can it be, it’s three simple words. Am I not worth that much to you, Seeing all I do for you, in awe how you aren't the one Devoting your life, for my happiness. I will wait, I will be your servant, Maybe one day I’ll get my chance with you. You’re cruel at times, my nightmares portray you well. A vicious beast, so dreadful, hideous, frightful. I can’t however unsee the good in you. I hate myself for this, but I love you still. I understand you will not reciprocate I will forgive you, I always do I have no choice, you are my world I see nothing else but you, everyday I’m locked in your tower of hopeless dreams Seeing the same life everyday. I hope for freedom someday, but for now, I love you © 2019 smilemore |
