If I had Everything

A poem of a girl who's life seems so simple, because she can have anything and everything she ever wanted, besides the love of her life.

If I had everything I wanted

You'd be lying next to me

looking into those big blue eyes

I’d see my entire world

My life being held 

in the palm of your hand

Your smile so hypnotizing 

I can’t imagine days without you 

Wrapped around your finger

I live my life 

Watching the days go by 

I see how happy she makes you 

Forever wishing to be her

so elegant and beautiful

She's caught your eye

To which I'm unseeable  

Your touch is poison 

I would die to be held by you

Forever in awe 

How you do this to me

If I had everything I wanted

my days wouldn't be filled with sorrow

seeking your attention 

begging for your love

Hello smiles:) on some level this taken literally is about unrequited love but on another i see someone who sees you as something else other than who you are. It's funny how we create these images of people in our minds when we are attracted to them and then sometimes in the unwrapping of them we find they aren't quite what we thought they were. A very honest and endearing expression of longing lines! nice to meet you

I love it, it captures the sense of a teenage crush. For that high-school quarterback. Or that hottie next door. If you added a comparison between you and what I am assuming is the current girlfriend that would add some depth to it.
