Running in the Rain

Running in the Rain

A Poem by avaya

In the dawn of the night,

You whisper so slight

Tell me you want me

Tell me you need me

Tell me I’m the one

Tell me it’ll never be enough

Your hands over mine

Our lips burning bright

Seven kisses down my spine

Living in the moment feels so right

I’ve been caved in and disguised

I’ve been saved from the tides

Your touch takes the winds away

Spins me around in the rain

Sunshine kisses paint glitter over the grey

Cherry lips make you weak enough to stay

Give me truth, give me touch

Lay with me from dawn to dusk

Your legs beneath mine, every touch feels right

Hands on my waist, have you gripping so tight

Head to your chin, you resist a smile

Look me up and down, we go another mile
