a note to you, the writer

Writing is like knitting. It takes time and practice to master, hard work and dedication towards the creative inside you, and an overall joy for creating art through your woven talent. Writing is meant for self-expression. These words paint the images inside you, the ideas that yearn to escape and find a home. The paradox of writing is that it is both self-serving and community-serving. And so a good writer knows how to find a balance: creative writing that masters a certain level of self-satisfaction, while also managing to be enjoyable to read. Yes, people must read it, so make sure your words sound good to read. Whether it be your version of good or others, it must be some version of good that can make the papers. Dear lord, do not start writing if you don’t intend to make the papers. Because nowadays, artists pay bills to live and an economy-based society does not tend to these artists well. Just another place in the world that needs a bit of fixing. To say art is underrated would be an enormous understatement. It’s why places like these exist, to serve us some level of satisfaction in our love of writing. Some way to express ourselves through our words, knit the quilt that best serves you.
