HappinessA Poem by Samer Al-AbedWith her silky hair paving
the waves Her
beautiful eyes watching over And
her smile shinning the way Our
hero can sail the realms of reality
To the
palms of her soft cold hands
Where
he'll lay down as she wraps him
Her
fingers warm up from his love
As she
shivers no more
He
continues to travel in pursuit
Of the
damsel that is her Happiness
Overcoming
her aches is no easy task
Especially
with a hurricane of tears
But as
he is equipped with persistence
Looking
for the rainbow that awaits
He
maintains march through the valleys
The
mountains and the plains
Day
and night, burn and freeze,
Nothing
was to stop him
Nothing
was to weaken his search
Seeking
the reason for his existence.
As the
dragon that is her torment
Nests
within the mountain she contains
The
beast keeps breathing his flames
Burning
her chest and causing her pain
The
monster that was to get in his way
Would
be fought and be slayed
Upon
our hero's arrival sword in hand
With
none than courage as a shield
A
knight without his armor he appeared
And
the deterrent was to be beheaded.
Battle
went on for what felt like eternity
But
there was no white flags in vision
With
the atrocity being a lifetime old
It was
brought down by a heart of gold
The
sword simply shred the remains
As the
savage swine was concurred
She
bleed no more of sorrow
Once
she healed and felt well
Our
cavalier carried on to find the one
He had
been clashing in the sake of.
A dark
tower overwhelmed the horizon
He ran
every flight of stairs with awe
At the
thought of meeting his princess
And as
he imagined throughout time
She
was perfect and more sublime
Than
he could picture her to ever be
Happiness
met with her throne
As
queen of her own flourishing land
And
our hero, well, he was already king
From
the second his eyes fell upon her.
