At Luncheon with God

At Luncheon with God

A Poem by Akshay Rawal
"

This might be a nonconformist approach towards the concept of God, but it urges us to be self-reliant at least.

"

He stood where verged a drear cliff,
Daggers plummeting his soul,
Howled he then from his knoll,
"We, everywhere, impugn you here, if
You don't show us your whole!
We humans mere, shall grow sere, stiff
Hate for you, be in all!"

Though reckon am free, I am from a tree, that
Somewhere, must have a root.
About that place would I moot.
I will meet thee! and for fee, at
Hell, wrath for our sins, you boot
Upon me. Let me see.....Pat
Me into the rendezvous.

Treat to eyes, some paradise, He
Sat at the table's end,
Courteous as a friend.
In a disguise, he surmised. "Be
Seated! To you I will tend."
"Amidst lies, we're in ice. We
To be edified, intend!"

He said, "Nay, I won't say. You
Evolve on your own,
Finding truths unknown.
I felt to play, so a seed I lay. New
Life forms to vie, sown.
Brought to bay, lagging they, to
Be the best, you've grown.

Slay akin, you saw it sin. So,
Of my ire you aver
Lest all outkill, ever.
But, to begin, to make you win, O
Man, I intrude never.
I just grin, upon thy din, No
Doubt, your being, you lever.

Tend to ease, self we appease, why
I be unwieldy arbiter,
Rewarding sweet and bitter?
I myself please, with creations these, Thy
Lord's not king! just creator.
Why cumber knees, reckoning apiece, By
Own deeds when you glitter?"

Please suggest an ending...I'm a bit confused about how to give this poem a good climax.

To acquiesce all will to a higher power....an act of such spirituality. Do we receive the answers we want? Some say they do. A powerful thought provoking piece.....your choice of vocabulary is stellar. Lydi**

I am honoured with such review and praise!!! Thank you once again for your time, Ma'am! :)
If we surrender and align our will to the divine, He will conform us in the path of wisdom and enlightenment. The Source of all is patient and willing to help at all times His creation for their own good. But people chose other ways and rely only on the world. I like this write. It raises questions ...:)...............
