Shoulder To Shoulder

Shoulder To Shoulder

A Poem by AK
"

Written for the choir at a little log church in Alaska. I wish you could hear this the way I do...

"

Shoulder to shoulder, the saints side by side
jointly assembled - each part of the Bride
Victory shall come to all that will fight
we’ll know every member arrayed in pure white

Our battle soon over, long day will be done
With Jesus before us, eternity won
Our shepherd determined, no compromise here
her vision so perfect, to all then so clear

Love never failing this family of God
faith kept and course finished, the narrow path trod
All trials and longing finally will be
at last, in that city, just faint memories

Shoulder to shoulder, saints side by side
jointly assembled - each part of the Bride
Victory has come to all that would fight
together forever, arrayed in pure white

Who is this group-Bride battling? As far as I can tell, everything in the universe is part of God: so what is there to fight?
