Dear Ones

Dear Ones

A Poem by AK
"

I work away from home and every now and then it just sort of catches up...

"

Sometimes family is far away and in need,
or you ache to greet dear friends…
some for the first time.

It’s during these times of prayer that you know,
you just feel…
God will keep them safe for you.

He knows that you care and long to see each one.

There is much ahead that you will share with those you love,
so many things He has shown you only glimpses of…
in your secret closet of prayer.

Dear ones who embrace the common hope,
and those you have stood fast with, shoulder to shoulder…
when all others have abandon the path.

There is a bond that cannot be described.

There is a love that cannot be whispered to the world,
because it has never understood…
nor ever truly known the purity of God’s spirit.

But there are still those who hunger for this fullness of love,
those who know God has a people who will not settle for less…
those who are stubborn for all of Him.

Those who also do not belong here now.

I know where to look for inspiration. It seems I find it often here where you are.

How did I miss this? I must've been asleep ..... I'm so sorry!! You are giving me the wheepies today, mon ami.

Your heart ....... D, so open and soft, touches mine so tenderly. This is beautiful with longing and quiet conviction. I love what you are doing with free-style poetry, your writing has taken on so much depth and soul ..... thank you for this. I adore it.

So beautiful, and comforting. An eloquent write, knowing that you are not alone, and that you are being loved and cared for even when your family and friends are not close by. The Love in this is wonderful. Well done.

How true, Ak...that there is no distance in the spirit and God hears the prayer of our hearts for our loved ones who are far away. I have been away from loved ones for years and have done the long distance praying time and time again, and God is always faithful....always. I think this perhaps, is a huge faith builder seeing God's faithfulness time and time again when we pray for those we live far away from...

Dear ones who embrace the common hope,
and those you have stood fast with, shoulder to shoulder
when all others have abandon the path.
There is a bond that cannot be described.
There is a love that cannot be whispered to the world,
because it has never understand
nor ever truly known the purity of God's spirit.
But there are still those who hunger for this fullness of love,
those who know God has a people who will not settle for less
those who are stubborn for all of Him.

There surely is a bond between those who know and serve the Lord. An indescribable union where our spirits bear witness with one another's.

This is beautifully penned. I am so glad to see you back, or at least writing again. I haven't been writing as much myself with all that is on our plates at present but I will as the Lord leads.

Nice to see you on my page again.

Bountiful Blessings, Carole
