My God

My God

A Poem by AK
"

For a Pagemaster's challenge to write something inspired by the photo... and for a good friend.

"

I know you hear me, my God
I can feel your gentle touches in the cool of the evening
when we are alone, just you and I.
And yet, the next morning
when I too soon awaken to start again,
I face… this…
another day, seemingly without change or hope.
I do have hope now though, I do.
You have taught me that. And faith!
I have seen what you can and will do.
Just when there is no other way, you step in.
I think you must wait sometimes…
until it is abundantly clear to me that only you have provided for my need.
You have taught me well, my precious God.

I know it must be so hard to wait,
to hold back so that I will learn it truly is you.
But God, please hear your handmaid today,
I am ready for change.
Whatever change you have for me, I am ready.
My God, I know it is you...
now.

Did you go into my prayer closet and pull this one out? LOL...One in the Spirit--One in the Lord really shows itself when I read the heartscry of a brother or sister...its beyond cool, and so strengthening to know the common bond/thread that is shared is all about the Glory of the Holy Spirit. Beautiful piece AK!!!

I truly feel the depth of the questions and answers of this piece. I appreciate so much the waiting and the need to learn the lessons and how he makes us wait. But, in the end, we know its Him.

Emotions roared over the edge of the falls with this magnificent piece. Cascading, buffeting currents rushing you toward the edge and once there, you experience the freedom, the weightless quality of spirit, then you flow over the edge without hesitation, buyantly carried in the rushing waters of knowledge. Of God. Of Yourself.

Absolutely amazing. I JUST dealt with something similar to this, and I know that this poem was sent to me because God wanted me to read it, and more importantly, he wanted me to read it now. I absolutely ADORE this poem. I'm very, very glad that James K. Blaylock sent this to me! I'm in Pagemaster's, but I was new to the group when we did this challenge. Great interpretation of the picture.
