My God

My God

A Poem by AK

I know you hear me, my God
I can feel your gentle touches in the cool of the evening
when we are alone, just you and I.
And yet, the next morning
when I too soon awaken to start again,
I face… this…
another day, seemingly without change or hope.
I do have hope now though, I do.
You have taught me that. And faith!
I have seen what you can and will do.
Just when there is no other way, you step in.
I think you must wait sometimes…
until it is abundantly clear to me that only you have provided for my need.
You have taught me well, my precious God.

I know it must be so hard to wait,
to hold back so that I will learn it truly is you.
But God, please hear your handmaid today,
I am ready for change.
Whatever change you have for me, I am ready.
My God, I know it is you...
now.

Did you go into my prayer closet and pull this one out? LOL...One in the Spirit--One in the Lord really shows itself when I read the heartscry of a brother or sister...its beyond cool, and so strengthening to know the common bond/thread that is shared is all about the Glory of the Holy Spirit. Beautiful piece AK!!!

how did I miss this? You know, I've been crying out for awhile and I found this so resonant....But I'm not hearing a response...and I'm deeply discouraged. I do feel a lift from this poem though. It is winged poetry

Good job of telling the world of your faith in Him..If I did not have Him in my life leading me and controlling my actions..I would be nothing..God bless..Valentine [forsome reason I lost you as a friend]

Oh...yessss God waits....

Sometimes till we are broken enough....to realize
We aren't handling things....God is
and somehow it seems easier to accept things like direction....patience or conviction...in our humbled state
it produces a new raw strength

I love this piece...it speaks to a the mindset of dialoging with and expecting a response from God.
the picture is perfect.

Blessssssssssss

Wow, what a fantastic piece. The deep crying of the heart and soul of a person is so clearly and deeply felt here. I feel like you were peeking over my shoulder at a time in my past, feels so familiar.
Very nice work my friend!!

I love the picture first off AK. Very impactful. Complete surrender. I have reached that em pass once again and this piece only seeks to strengthen that-that is on the inside of me at this moment and time.

In our humanness we can become so easily discouraged, while knowing all along that He IS able to do ALL things.

I love the crescendos that are built within this piece from the start to the finish as the momentum builds and then crashes against the shoreline like a wave breaking and leading to freedom with each level of surrender.

As always, a wonderful masterpiece, AK!

I liked it alot! Very well done! It flowed nicely. You could feel the emotions you had hanging in the air, the mystery the new knowledge, the WoW factor was there! Keep it up
