No Other Gifts Compare

 

 

Many things desired to do for Him

in the Spirit as we’ve grown

To heal the sick and prophesy

all the works our Lord has shown

And yet it seems there is one gift

each saint may freely use

To have the ear of the one true God

in prayer… if we but choose.

 

Sometimes at crowded altar

but more often all alone

When burden transcends all sense of time

untold hours before the throne

Then God will hush the heavenly host

to hear a faithful’s plea

To have the ear of the one true God

is the greatest gift indeed.

 

So others will seldom notice

and the multitude won’t know

Crowds will never gather round

for grand pageantry and show

But God will change the lives of those

you’ve brought to Him in prayer

When you have the ear of the one true God

no other gifts compare.
