The Power That It Brings

The Power That It Brings

A Poem by AK
"

Another reminder... for me.

"

Each morning as I rise
to start another day
The news reminds me of the signs
that God is surely on His way
The world cries “Peace”, but none is found
and evil stalks the land
But there’s safety in the Holy Ghost
for those who choose to stand

When I look into the mirror
I see one who’s known God’s touch
And no level of temptation
for today will be too much
The strength that He has given
is enough to see me through
The midnight hour indeed is nigh
but we’re anchored in the truth

So what trial can I not withstand?
What burden can I not bear?
What excuse will be acceptable
when I stand before Him there?
The image in the mirror replies,
“Why ask you me these things?
God’s filled you with His Holy Ghost,
and the power that it brings”!

Wow, the more I read... the more I love. Keep up the great writes.

As I look into the mirror
I see one whos known Gods touch
And no level of temptation
for today will be too much
The Spirit God has given
is enough to see me through
The midnight hour indeed is nigh
but were anchored in the truth

And what of the news reminds you that God is on his way? For how long has evil stalked the land to the point of unbearable? The state of the world makes me wonder why we are still here. How far does His patience stretch? Somewhere there must be one righteous man standing. Will we truly have a clue as to when the end approaches?

You, D, have withstood more than your share of trials, and I marvel at the confident place wherein you stand ready to face our Lord. I do hope there is still time ....

This piece surely rattles cages of those who find complacence in the status quo. This brings to mind the "whacko" [so sorry!] on the corner proclaiming the end of the world ...

Regardless, the message here is also of a life heretofore unknown ... through eternity.

Beyond, D.
