Endeavour

Endeavour

A Poem by akarusty
"

Finally, something new! Give this one a chance and maybe my style will follow it. Basically about what brought me back here.

"

ENDEAVOUR

Back again,

Undignified, with curtains closed

Inside, where my emotions hide

Discreet from public eye

And far from anywhere

Called home

But I call them home

For more brave endeavours

Having saved most of their energy

Whilst I’ve barely perused

Other ventures in which to find

My muse

But I’m directionless at most

Between writers block

And likely self denial,

Affectionless to feeling

As, rightly said, it’s all been

Clocked before

but still far Too long ago

In fairness, too young to find question

And not bold enough to care,

My impression lay somewhere

Between two worlds, weirdly

Reminding me of an old friend

Of mine

Yet amazingly, indefinitely

I step out with barrels ablaze,

Fingers twitching, without doubt

Itching, for now, to save the world,

As I’m about the only one

That can

A great sense of self esteem in this poem. Your poetry shows so much talent.

Yet amazingly, indefinitely
I step out with barrels ablaze,

My favorite line in the poem. You show strength here which may never burn out. The interpretations of your poetry could vary, I know. I enjoy your work.

Rusty! Keep writing, man. It's good to see you back. I've had those times where I didn't and/or couldn't write and when I came back, I felt so lost. Look forward to reading what you're going to share.

Hello to anyone who sees this. I haven't been on this site for some time. I had friends on here I've not spoken to for nearly 7 years. Time really flies, especially when you're not writing. I'm .. more..
