The Piano BuskerA Poem by akarustyBased on actual events as I witnessed, watching a great friend playing great music. Number 14 of my album 'Break And Employ'.The Piano Busker
The raging flocks and herds Of mid-town commotion Flicker ears And stand on hind legs Whilst pleasantly disturbed By the sound of keys in tune From the piano busker Playing with mind and soul His only goal For music to enwind And entwine those finding Time to stop and hear The commotion rests As the prey gather round Listening Comforted by the sound That allows stress to drift away Into the evening song And as the end unfolds With great applause received: ‘Inspiring’ The majority will say, Throwing coins to upturned hat Before flocking away. The busker’s smile is wide His job to please is done. His thoughts are full inside With the hearts that smiled as one.
