LongingA Poem by aisling virginia
This longing
It hurts Hurts like a punch to the stomach A smack to the head I can't avoid it because It lives inside of me And it's been there ever since you left It's blossomed larger and larger The longer you've been gone And now I can't ignore it It's clawing at my sanity Gnawing on my trust This hunger is driving me crazy Hunger for you For you to be here For you to hold me in your arms For you to need me Like I've been needing you The dull ache in my chest It never disappears I want this longing to leave Just like you did Not even a simple goodbye © 2013 aisling virginiaAuthor's Note
