Together

I lay next to him, my head on his chest
the steady beat of his heart slowly lulling me to sleep
his blue t-shirt smells faintly of mint
it's a comforting smell, coupled with his cologne
almost intoxicating
music floats from the small speakers a few feet away
soft, calm guitar
everything is perfect when we're
together

On the couch, she lays in my arms
our legs are tangled together and one of my hands is in her hair
I twirl it gently between my fingers, then let it fall
she looks so tired
it's adorable, making me want to fall asleep as well
the smell of roses tickles my nose
she always smells like that
it's weird but the scent is comforting
it lets me know she's here, with me
together

I love the meaning of it, its extremely romantic, touching and sweet.

This is sweet. It reminds me of good days and mornings with little light slipping in through shaded windows. I like how this small tale is told from the point of view of both characters. It's always nice to see differing thoughts and feelings.
