26 July 2010A Chapter by A.j. JoinerUnique friends and M.R.E.'sMonday, 26 July 2010 Boy, do we have some friends in unique places. I managed to contact the colonel in charge of the 214th Field Artillery from the Georgia National Guard. He put some rain down on another fire base about ten miles from our home base. We scouted it yesterday, after the fireworks. Colonel Jack Hughway, the commander of the 214th F.A., said they fired for two hours continuously. And it showed. There wasn’t a single building left standing and no wall stood over two feet.
We paid them back for the favor. We sent them about a thousand of the M.R.E.’s that we have here. They said they were running low on food stuffs and with no fixed re-supply schedule, they were more than happy.
ORC command is getting closer by the day. Several ‘people of interest’ have been detained with ongoing ‘interrogations’. I got a chance to see one of the ‘interrogations’. Those boys don’t look to pretty anymore. They have narrowed it down to three possible people. A private from 3rd Battalion, 2nd Company, a sergeant from Regimental Command, and a captain from the Intelligence Division. My money is on the captain.
Well, I go on patrol duties for the next week so I don’t know when I will be able to write again.
Yours Very Truly,
Colonel Alexis Dietrich, ORC
