Results of the assault on the Russian fire base.

Oh, what a glorious clusterfuck that was. Our assault on the fire base didn’t go as planned. Initial recon and intel stated that there would only be, at most, two companies of infantry. At that fire base, there was a reinforced battalion of Russian elites. And, they were expecting us. Waiting for us. We were betrayed. Someone leaked our intel.

I lost nearly half of the men under my command. We managed to piss them off. Their casualties were estimated to be two-thirds of present forces. They retreated but not before fire-bombing the base, destroying any documents we could’ve used.

ORC command has launched an investigation into who leaked the intel. I swear, when we find out who it was, I will personally lead the firing squad to execute them. Hopefully, it won’t be to long now, as we have a good lead.

One of the fellow officers here seen me writing in this and suggested that I describe myself, so that when this war is over, I can sell it and have a movie made about me. I laughed hard about that one. So, here goes: I’m not to tall, only about 5’9”. I don’t weigh much, kinda underfed here. I have brown hair and bright blue eyes. They are often described as my best feature. I used to smile and laugh a lot, but there aren’t many things that make me truly smile. Freckles dot my face and people tell me that I am cute and sometimes, when they are drunk, they tell me what they want to do to me. It’s hard being a chick in a military infantry unit. But we don’t have much other choices here.

Well, I have to go, as there are things that need to be attended to. I shall return tomorrow.

                                   Yours Very Truly,
                                   Colonel Alexis Dietrich, ORC
