your worth O
mighty river “Am
I not a part of you?” Asked
the water in the pot, to the river And
the dried leaf below the tree, asked “Why
did you discard me?” And
the nest enquired the bird that left it lonely “Can
you carry me along with you?” Rays that fell on the ground Blamed
the sun of its negligence And
the age old coin walked into the market to know Its
value in the present The
dustbin stood silent, for it knew its worth Was
not more than the garbage that is disposed!
