Saturday Mornings

Saturday Mornings

A Poem by Aaron Jinks

Those blue checkered pajama pants look so good on you

Just like your skin and your halo of blonde hair.

You make it look effortless to look beautiful, even after

Shifting throughout the night.

Sleep in a little with me darling, and when we wake, let's

Go and pick fresh apples from the tree in the backyard

Or get eggs from the hen

And dance like fools to that love song you love so much while

Making breakfast.

Let's treat this Saturday morning the way

it's supposed to be treated.

With love.
