Blue

Blue

A Poem by Ariella
"

fun fact: I wrote this in grade eight math class.

"
sadness is shallow
it is a pool, you can stand
you can hold your head up
and walk back to land

but it is also much deeper
so hard to control
at the bottom of the ocean
not near a single soul

sadness can be harsh
knock you right off your feet
push you under your covers
hidden by a sheet

sadness is deceitful
forces you behind a wall
you may find yourself wishing
you had never lived at all

sadness is everlasting
it can scar you for years
you see a side to yourself
that's drowning in tears

sadness is an ocean
water is all around
but stay close to the shore
and be careful not to drown

I admire this poem, It's very deep and relatable. It made me stop and think about the truth in it and re-read it.

This is a really good poem eighth grade?

Even an older writer could be proud of this.

Well put together, the rhythm is good and the rhyme doesn't trip over itself.
