A Chapter by AJ

I never thought this was possible -- though I was always open-minded -- but even so, I was still surprised. I was surrounded by a family of dragons. I struggled to keep my eyes open to see past the blinding light that glistened off their skin. It shone a bright blue color, however, it also looked hard, like steel covered stars. This imaged filled my mind for a few moments. I was stunned at the sight of it. I was glad I moved to Juneau. I would never have experienced all this danger, and the excitement that came along with it. They were staring intently at me as I did the same until I recognized one dragon. He strode over to me and stood there, hovering over me. He was breathing heavily, letting his breath overwhelm me. I was standing there, mesmerized by his sweet breath. I touched his hot face and saw a smile I longed for. A smile that told me he was still there. No matter how dangerous he seemed to look, I knew he was still there, completley there. I looked up at him, his eyes were looking anxious. He stared at me, picked me up, perched me on his back, and flew out the door.

We were flying above the snow covered ground. This aerial view was enthralling. I let a few shrieks of joy, and he seemed to enjoy my merriment. I couldn't believe that this was happening. Who would have known that I, the person that has nothing exciting happen to her, could experience this....this excitement.
