The MirrorA Poem by Amber BeinThere is a house that stands abandoned and isolated Though was once filled with kind and jolly memories Now it sits with no inhabitants but an occasional mouse The windows are broken The walls are all cracked The floorboards are swollen From the above leaky patch The paint has all pealed The tables and chairs are all chipped and worn No longer able to hold a meal The doors are all unhinged Dust covers thick making mites cringe This house worn down by years and years Does not see nor hear For this house is only a mirror A mirror of everyone’s fear © 2013 Amber Bein |
