Ignorance in Oblivion

Ignorance in Oblivion

A Poem by Amber Bein

To live without thought

Is to live within the vast compound of silent sleep

Where nothing is changed

Nothing new is created

Everything is always as it is

No questions could ever be asked

No dreams could ever be dreamt

No life could ever be one’s own

If one could never think

No one would know the truths of the world

Humanity would be enslaved

By what other’s preach and teach

To live without thought

Is not even to live

That is one impressive title; it succeeds in expressing the exact point you are trying to make in this poem. I was able to identify with the poem because I have a particularly strong personal opinion regarding this concept. And through very simple words, you were able to draw an image that accurately and directly represents your point of view. Nice work :)

Very true! A great flow of ink you've concocted for us. A silent mind is mind that is not truly alive. That's what I believe anyway. Thus... I support talking to oneself for therapy! =D

Great Ink!
Thanks for sharing!
