Idol of RigidityA Poem by ApollosMay I be at peace with peace and calm during the storm.
Rigidity, why do I consider you a friend to me?
Why do I offer you sympathy? Why do I live life so simply? Give my energy over to apathy? Why do I have to be excessively happy to make something happen? Why can’t I obey amidst heaviness or hardness of heart? Why can’t I do all things through Christ who strengthens me? …Enter The Seed and breathe. Intercede for those who need. Walk by belief rather than achieve. Show my Nations emancipation. Participating in the divine rather than commentating. Redeem Achan’s sin rather than earthquaking. Prune my bitterness into Kirk Franklin. Samson break the pillars. I’ll do more in death than life. I’ll go twice the mileage than Elijah gliding. Elisha bout to see me in the air kiting. I have to reign over this earth. Baal trying to send rain on this earth. Yet I’m Moses, royalty from birth. Through the river I form into condensation to return to the sky. Rigidity, your death has already happened in time. © 2021 ApollosAuthor's Note
