Resistance

Resistance

A Poem by Apollos
"

It starts with One.

"
Father, they call You Allah cause they don’t know Papa.
Dalai Lama couldn’t help them reach Nirvana.
Sarah didn’t believe she could be a Mama.
Looked in Yah’s face and died to His promise taking place.
Ishmael received His grace.
Yet Yah’s will kept its pace.
Who has The Throne?
Which thinking is His mind zone?
We were a Stan for Afghan until the Taliban made a plan.
China told Uncle Sam let them rule the land.
I resist the urge to give into selfish demands.
I would prefer to be burdened by what I’m learning.
I want to direct my yearning to a positive circuit.
Deemed perfect cause the price paid said worth it.
Am I living it out if I don’t fulfill my purpose?
Worthless curses my righteous birth.
Claims my existence derives from the earth.
Proclaims I get what I earn,
Live up to a standard or get burned.
I feel the compromise when I make decisions based on my pride.
Not living like a Lion but from a voice that is dying.
Not content with whining because that means I stopped trying.
May I unify with those who have hope in their eyes.
A Fire they do not quench with worldly delights.
Able to judge darkness from light.
Run to the fight to bring peace to both sides.
A hunger for life to end the divide.
A soul in harmony with Spirit divine.
Matrimony on all things holy.
Truth that has a foundation.
Grace that is fluid amongst the lamentations.
Peaceful uprising to supplant a nation.
Love came through and decimated.
