“I”

“I”

A Poem by Apollos
"

I think therefore I am.

"
Do you ever marvel at your own existence?
Singular pronoun to pronounce every ounce of matter for your brain’s chatter.
I’m Batter baked amongst the latter.
Optimistic but never sadder.

Sound wave amongst the clatter.
An actor living out my imagination’s laughter.
What if God’s head is like a message thread?
Contemplating all the things we dread.

Going to bed with things we thought were dead.
Finding lead where we felt led that the pen had gone dry.
Didn’t need a reason why.
Chose us so that we never die.

I need to breathe and open my eyes.
“I” before “e” helps you see.
Believe me to perceive freely.
Faith like a tree leaves your burdens at your feet.

Glad to hear it Shineheemi!

Why do you say you’re stuck?
and those leaves scrunch...that sound?
reminders of where we came from? or where we might be going?
interesting write...
