Beauty through Pain (Psalm 34)

Beauty through Pain (Psalm 34)

A Poem by Apollos
"

We all go through suffering. How should we let it mold us?

"

I wanted to avoid the pain so I pretended to be insane.
Drove him away and he left so now with my last breath,
I will extol The Lord at all times.
He’s forgotten my crimes.

My soul will boast in the Lord;
Let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
Glorify so we don’t mortify.
Exalt may we never halt.

I sought The Lord.
He brought the answer.
Cleansed of the tears.
He delivered me from my fears.

Look and be radiant.
Never gradient.
No shame when you proclaim.
Salvation for those who take refuge in His name.

Taste and see the Lord is good.
Remove “should”, forget “would”, undo “could” and let’s “be” in reverence of The Lord.
From Him the Saints find their personhood.
Even the lions grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

Is it evil to live backwards?
Flip your tongue on the concept.
No compromise for lips dripping with lies.
Turn from Evel, launch yourself like Knievel.
Do good and pursue peace through it.

His sight on those who are right.
Ears to those who cry.
His face against those who deny.
Deliver those in trouble.
Close to those who have been pummeled.
Saves those hearts that have stumbled.
The righteous man may have many troubles but The Lord will never allow him to fumble.
Bundled protection for his bones,
Not one of them will be broken.

Evil will slay wicked;
The foes of the righteous lay in the grave.
No longer depraved.
The Lord redeems His servants;
No re-fuse when we take refuge in Him.
