GraceA Poem by ApollosThe power of God to redeem & comfort.
Grace has laced your name with its taste if you trace it.
Satan trying to erase the praise. So I grabbed him by the tail and said, “I thought your belly was meant to slide amongst the dregs?” Moses separated. Moses under condemnation. Moses alienated. Moses in a desert vocation. Grace used Aaron to speak in his place. David slaying Goliath. David running from Saul. David in desperation. David rebuked by Nathan. Grace used Bathsheba to birth Solomon to take his place. We have a will but He has to be The Way. If He led me to it then He will lead me through it. If He paid the bill then I shouldn’t sue Him. If He won the race then how could I lose it? I had started reading my Bible so much I was in need of lasik. Praying so much I started babbling on like a Babylon ancient. Sharing my faith so much my friends couldn’t chase Him. Being scared so much I didn’t want to change them. Self-condemning to the point I couldn’t face it. Consumed with an identity that wanted to replace it. Devoid of emotion. Lost in this world’s sea of potions. Did You leave the 99 to say I’m Divine? Have You grafted me into The Vine? Are You looking at Your One & Only? Am I holy as You are holy as we meet in the Holy of Holy’s? Am I the one whom You love and are well pleased? Is Your Living Water flowing through me? Is Your Bread of Life what consumes me? Is this New Wine that filters this mind? Am I purified as Your Bride? Have the scales fallen from my eyes? Are we dining together as the darkness aligns? At Heaven's Gates will I be denied access inside? Father, Your grace has replaced the failure of my past mistakes! “When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:54-57 © 2019 ApollosAuthor's Note
