AFreecaA Poem by ApollosA testimony and way of thinking in regards to forgiveness & the family oriented culture of Africa.
They say there’s power in The Game if your name is known.
A claim to your Throne. War torn land. Your destiny in your hand. Swahili to the beat. Move your feet to the drums that pound under the sun. Vodoo on your Hulu. Seems like a Semi-Charmed Life to me. Simba on his own. A deceptive act of fun leading to his dad’s end of the run. His father’s presence affirming the pride that he had been chosen to redeem the tribe. Scar could not contrive enough lies to deny whom The Son sets free is free indeed. Ubuntu says the true you is of those around you. Am I what I have or is it what my Land grabs? Part of a Body of which I will not separate. Just because I have a heart doesn’t mean I’m the Mind who contemplates. Desmond Tutu said it’s better to restore than to deliver the pain. The cancer resides in both party’s brains. Is this The Mandela Effect and I’ve forgotten when this was taught? Forgiveness relinquishes what Justice claims to be ought. “I knew as well as I knew anything that the oppressor must be liberated just as surely as the oppressed. A man who takes away another man’s freedom is a prisoner of hatred, he is locked behind the bars of prejudice and narrow-mindedness... The oppressed and oppressor alike are robbed of their humanity.” -Nelson Mandela © 2019 ApollosAuthor's Note
