Diluted

Diluted

A Poem by Apollos
"

Contemplating the negative emotions that ail us and the redemption found in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

"
Interesting how when a soul loses its way.
The world slowly turns to gray.
Thoughts get lost in the fray.
Words lose meaning in every way.

No matter what we say.
Speech has power of life or the grave.
Written on stone tablets The Law was paved.
Carved into our hearts His message lay engraved.

Activated by The One who is The Way.
Yahweh cannot be tamed.
Overcoming dark days.
For the joy set before Him all else was considered lame.

Boring just wants you to play another game.
Depression longs for the recession of sin’s profession.
Anxiety needs sight to see the plans of The Nazarene.
Apathy is just a Sadducee who doesn’t believe the dead come to life.

The Omnipotent is not indifferent.
The “Unmoved Mover” is not a loser and has not packed His bags.
The “World of Forms” finds its lore in Christ.
The “God of the Gaps” traps His presence in a present that has been delivered to you.

I enjoy conversing with Secular minds. They refine my Christian faith and have me thinking on questions I never thought to ask.

Poem refers to faith. At first how the effects affect that lost soul. Christ can be the way, if shared. There are polar wrongs that cause conflicts. I agree with, (well, my interpretation of) the last stanza. Nothing can stop Him,He, God, from delivering himself to all receiving. “ Like a mustard seed”!

Thanks Nefertiti!!!

Glad to still have your high praises!
You're good with words, I especially love how you started. I can relate this to the experience of awakening/enlightenment that many lost minds encounter on their path to self-discovery and ones relationship to the entire cosmos.

The Way and the followers of the Way, that is an apt, biblical and very useful description. We have over the centuries 'diluted' many core and basic foundations. Thank you so much for sharing your faith through verse and provocation of thought. May it stir up the faith in others and make them consider 'things' other than what immediately concerns them.
