After the smile

Dedicated to me by a friend. When friendship develops between people of different religious groups

Distance is forever beside us
Religion seperates us
Statues blur a possible unity
Culture forbids
But we stand looking at each other
Listening to the silent voices humming fantasies in our hearts
Looking at beauty, unity and possibilities
We stand divided, yet unified by one goal to find us
So we smile when they frown
So we smile when they frown
So we deserve to share a crown
.
I a Christian for life
You a muslim for life
But we poets for life
After the texts, the laughter, then comes the smile.
And after the smile
I can see another tomorrow
Another happiness
Another moment of love
