When the world turns its back on me
I'll have no where to be
I'll look for a place to rest
But everyone will contest
No one to welcome
No where to run
Yet I will still flee
When the world turns its back on me
I cannot maintain
Atlas's great pain
When everyone fights
And no one has rights
And many people die
While no one wonders why
Many people will see
When the world turns its back on me
I find myself turning to Brigit
And I realize I won't admit it,
But fate seems to decline that,
While all I've done is sat,
No fate may be found,
Where my love is bound,
Not even Tara can help me,
When the world turns its back on me.
Zeus has struck me down,
With a bolt that cannot be found.
Hermes has taken his gift,
And so I begin to drift.
But Kronos won't let me die,
While Gaia ceases to cry,
From the loss of this tree,
When the world turns its back on me.
Now I've started to see Loki
Deep inside of me
A slave to ancient gods
Fighting impossible odds
Hiding my thoughts with every word
Especially from those that have heard
What will all these people see
When the world turns its back on me?
