Heartbeats Where Hearts Meet

Heartbeats Where Hearts Meet

A Poem by BlackFire

I sit and wonder. As the thought of our hearts meeting that perfect rhythm became an illusion.
Are we meant to match our heartbeats or fill the missing beats in between?
If one heart raced for the other beating fast while the other heart played its teasing beat in response to the chase.
The only sense I can make is that every persons heartbeat is an extraordinary thing.
Its an intimate song, a symphony one can't control but creates.
Constantly being played waiting for its partner to return the tune.
