VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE!!! In a very short & sweet poem! Good job! I love all the things you've chosen to link to "One Little Word" . . . all are true & meaningful. However, it's always better to be as specific as possible, which makes one's writing even more vivid. For example: "break a heart" (a much-used phrase) could be made more specific & fresh: "tear her heart to shreds" . . . Another example: "take a life" could be more specific: "can be a knife that spills blood." I know you know what I mean. Just something to think about for future writing. Thanks for sharing this very important message.

Limitless power in the emotion, thought, subliminal urge that motivates the utterance, but words themselves are not powerful. More is said with smiling eyes or furrowed brows than any word can say. More is said with stooped shoulders or raised chin or tilt of head or reach of hand.
But yes, once heard, it cannot be undone.
No bell can be unrung.
I am wondering if this might have more sophistication with fewer "words"
One word-
a heart breaks
a smile brightens
a life is saved
creation
destruction
in one single word...
