I awake and the pillow next to me has the scent
Of her perfume. She was a bride to be, but was taken
Away the day before our wedding five years ago.
An afternoon slice of pizza was found in the oven
That I had not put in there before. Maybe she was trying
To tell me something. Eventually my time was up as I traveled
Through a tunnel and into the light. A young lady was there
To greet me in a white wedding gown. We walked down
The aisle as that was what supposed to be so many years ago.
The scent of her perfume was still there on a pillow next to me.
She was already there.....
