Natures Kiss..by Michael

Natures Kiss..by Michael

A Poem by Michael Reisman

The rush of waterfalls with the chirping of birds

Soothed my soul. A sunrise and sunset peeked

Through the forest trees in all their visual splendor.

A honeydew flower was the scent after a gentle rain

Had sprinkled it. Just above hung a cocoon on a branch

As I watched it open. She spread her new wings

And flew to the heavens, then came back and

Landed on my shoulder. Such is a place where I feel

I need to be. A few fireflies blinked their nightly glow

And crickets sang their evening song

Before the full moon covered and tucked me in...
