Summer Rain..by MichaelA Poem by Michael Reisman
Summer rain fell and washed the plants and
flowers.
They grew and flourished beneath the warm sun as
they
Slept through the evening hours under the moon
and stars.
Birds and butterflies flapped their wings as they
Shook their legs dry once again which rejuvenated
Their souls. It poured down my face beyond the
smile of my lips
And made me new once again. She stood beside me
At an outdoor wedding where no umbrellas were
held.
It was there that we grew together and became
one.
A cricket rubbed its legs together and a bird
flaps its wings.
Some fireflies lit up the event as a few frogs
croaked a song
That was heard only by the bride and groom.
We paused from our indoor honeymoon suite
The next summer and went outside to enjoy and
Thank the summer rain...
