Permanently Autograhed..by MichaelA Story by Michael Reisman
The author sold his book to a lady he met at an outdoor pool while both were on vacation. She read a few of his short stories and decided to share it with her fifteen year old daughter. Mom got never got the book back as the child was deeply moved and read through each story with the intensity that young adults often do. "I want an autograph from this author. Can you do that for me mom please"? "I'll do better than that. You can meet in him person tomorrow by the outdoor pool, I am sure he will be there again". He signed the book and she stared at him with a look of something special in her eyes. They got along just fine and met a few times again while staying at the vacation resort that summer. Despite their age differences, they exchanged email addresses and wrote to each other often. The author was totally surprised when one of her mails read.."My English teacher loved the book and now reads one story a day to us kids in class". It was an inspiration from this young teen that had him write and publish his second book. One year later he went back to the same resort as so did the mom and daughter. "Where Angels Tread" was his second book as mom bought it and immediately passed it on to her daughter. That special look in her eyes returned as the author signed the book with a second autograph. He received an email about her new English teacher loved it and read one story a day to her class. Some years later they met once again without it being planned. She was grown up now and a woman of thirty two years old. It was a book signing event that she stood on a line for his third book "On Love's Path". He signed it for her as the two of them walked out of the book store holding hands. There was a special look in both of their eyes that somehow was meant to be. Inspiration and love come in many different forms as we grow and understand life. The older and the younger meet halfway, where romantic short stories are permanently autographed...
