Andy opened a new business and as most would do, he posted and
framed his first dollar bill on the wall of his restaurant. It stood proudly
from his first customer Andrea and he introduced himself as the owner and
manager. The grand opening was successful that day as twenty five new customers
came in to sample his new place. Andrea of course was the first to arrive for
lunch as Andy personally served her at her table. Her meal was delicious and she
decided to try out the dinner menu. Her same table was vacant as she pulled up a
familiar chair. The waiter took her order and he told his boss that his first
customer had come back. Andy personally served her a second time as she was very
special to him. Warm smiles were exchanged along with a special twinkle in their
eyes, a hint of a mutual attraction. Two weeks later she just had to go there
for breakfast. Not just for something to eat, but to hopefully be served by Andy
again. A waiter told his boss of a favorite first time customer and Andy knew
what he had to do next. He brought out two of same breakfasts as he sat next to
her. "I'm really hungry this morning so can I join you please"? She replied
"yes, I will love the company for sure". The meal was him and she thanked Andy
before leaving. He was invited to her place for dinner as no waiters or checks
were to be paid. It was just great conversation and getting to know each other
more intimately. Two years later the meals were already paid for at their
wedding table. She became co owner of the restaurant as the profits were now
shared. The first dollar bill was moved from the restaurant to their home in the
bedroom. It was something that just had to be done in memory of how they first
met. Maybe a new restaurant with a new owner has something in common with a
first time customer. Down the road it appears to be as they become husband and
wife. Case in point in a short love story about Andy and Andrea, where a single
dollar bill started it all....
