One Dreams And The Other Sleeps..by MichaelA Poem by Michael ReismanI awoke with you beside me in my
arms,
The same way we fell asleep the night
before.
Breakfast in bed and candlelit
dinners
With slow dancing in between. A rose slipped
Under your pillow just twelve hours
ago.
Four footprints on a moonlit beach
in
The month of July and the same during the
snow
In the month of December. Your sweetest lips
kissed
Mine as we held hands under the covers. The
passion
Never dies after years of being with each
other.
It was all in my mind where pillows lay
dreams
Of reality. Two footprints in sand and snow
remain
Uncovered where one dreams and the other
sleeps...
