Ten Years After..by Michael

Ten Years After..by Michael

A Story by Michael Reisman

Sara was finally released from a ten year prison sentence. It was nice to wear regular street clothes once again and eat her favorite meals. Now thirty five, she got lucky and found a job along with an apartment in which to live. Life was starting all over again as she learned a hard lesson from her previous mistakes and choices. She met Stewart in a shopping mall as they waited on line together. He helped pay her bill as she was short by twenty dollars. Then he also helped Sara pack the trunk of her car. His kindness for helping her out had Sara invite him to dinner that evening at her apartment as he accepted. It was a pleasant surprise for him as spaghetti was served, his all time favorite dish. For the rest of the evening they talked and got to know each other. Strangely enough she found out he was just released from prison after serving a ten year sentence for the exact same crime that she had committed. They both laughed out loud and then decided to celebrate their freedom and new beginnings. Sara and Stewart took a car service to a local club about fifteen minutes away. The early date turned into a late night affair as a full day and evening was spent together. She was invited to spend the rest of their date at his apartment only ten miles away from hers. One night cap and then a spaghetti dish were prepared. No sex happened, but they just woke up in each others arms as sometimes only a hug says it all. Their lives together were inseparable after that. It made sense that these two met the way they did. Things in common often do that. Sara and Stewart kissed at the wedding table six months later. Maybe we meet under circumstances which follow the way things are supposed to happen. New beginnings was a strong point and a final destination to where they needed to go. Case in point in a short love story about Sara and Stewart, along with ten years after...

This is great as it is and I realize it's your style, but I wanted to see more conversation and detailed description. For example, I wondered what led to their being in prison. Just something to consider. The concept itself is heartwarming and extremely romantic!

Very true. However when my heart tells me that it is done and complete, then I must end it.

Enough said then! Delving into your stories I have noticed some that are much more detailed, also.
