October Winds Blow..a poem by Michael

A Poem by Michael Reisman

Gentle October winds blow the fallen colored leaves
Across the ground. Hues of orange, red, yellow, and green
Now adorn the landscape. A time of year for change and
Beauty to be enjoyed. Two strangers sit on a park bench.
His red shirt and her orange blouse blend in with the scene
At hand. They smile at each other and say hello. The wind blows
Her hair in his direction as nature smiles down upon
Them. Another season comes with a warm sun of June,
As the bride and groom kiss after the wedding vow
Is spoken. A couple bring their newborn daughter home
From the hospital as gentle October winds blow...
