Birds Of A Feather..by Michael

A Story by Michael Reisman

Frankie went to the pet shop to look at their birds. Canaries and parakeets was what he was interested in. One particular pretty blue feathered bird caught his attention. It chirped and rubbed its beak against the cage as if it said hello to him. That was his choice as his new pet was bought with a nice size cage, food, gravel, etc. It was placed in the living room as that was where he spent most of time. They became quick friends as the bird would sit on his finger, then hop onto his shoulder as they watched T V together. Frankie met a girl on the train ride to work one morning. This instant attraction led to their dating each other. A first date was arranged she would come to his house for dinner and a movie in his living room. Fran noticed the bird and said "I just recently bought a parakeet and it also sits in my living room" That was where their second date began. She was surprised to see him there holding his cage with the pet parakeet he brought as a surprise guest. The two cages were placed together as the birds looked like they wanted to meet each other. His pet was male, and hers was female. Fran opened her cage door and held her bird next to Frankie's cage. He opened his door as she hopped in to say hello to her new friend. It was two years that Frankie and Fran got married. One year after that, she gave birth to a baby boy. Strangely enough, so did their two love birds....Maybe romantic trails start in a pet shop which lead to a pair of living rooms. Love happens sometimes between humans and pets. Case in point in a short love story about Frankie and Fran, where birds of a feather fly together...
