The Tunnel Of Love..by MichaelA Story by Michael ReismanBarbara was always a kid at heart. The thirty six year old
always found something to do from her childhood memories. Play with a favorite
doll, jump rope, or simply just have her old best young girl lunch, a grilled
cheese sandwich. She smiled at the pink cotton candy which was held once again
at the amusement park she attended that summer Saturday afternoon. Barbara
strolled around looking at the rides she used to go on. There was one line of
teenagers buying tickets for the tunnel of love. Young couples stood there as
Barbara decided to take the ride by herself. It reminded her of a former
boyfriend from so many years ago. She stepped into the last as car as an
unexpected passenger joined her at the last minute. Benny introduced himself as
he recognized Barbara from quite a few years ago as a former girlfriend in his
teenage years. She remembered him also and smiled with a tear in her eye as he
put his arm around her shoulder. They hugged and kissed just like the teenagers
in front of them in the first seven cars. Benny told her of his same feelings
and reasons for being there. They got married the following summer as down the
road their children that they had together, would play with a favorite doll,
jump rope, or simply just have a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch. The couple
knew that it would continue when they grew up. And so the tunnel of love awaits
for those embrace where that ride may end up to be. Case in point in a short
love story about Barbara and Benny, along with future generations who may buy
two tickets for a ride in the tunnel of love....
