Lost Love

Lost Love

A Poem by Ainslie

The first time I threatened suicide
When I was with you
You disappeared for 3 days
Not a word where you went
The first time you burned yourself
I added to the slashes on my wrist
You made me feel like I failed you
See I didn't think you deserved to lose
To an addiction I had already lost to
When you told me you were genderqueer
I was supportive
Even if I had to redefine my sexuality
That I had already struggled to figure out
I've given you sunshine
You've given me thunderstorms
I don't think I can take it anymore

This really touched me, I love it. You must be such a strong person. Really good imagery to. I love the last few lines, simply beautiful. :)
