Love's Suicide

Love's Suicide

A Poem by Ainslie

Slit my wrists
Tie a noose around my neck
Let me fall to my death
Hell will gain another devil
Everyone will think heaven gained an angel
All I wanted was your breath on my neck
But your lips were addicted to hers
And now your cheeks are stained with tears that scream my name
Your wrists are singing the same scarlet song mine once did
Aching for my body to keep you warm at night
But you chose her instead of me
And you want me back
As I'm 6 feet in the ground
My name carved into your skin
Tainting your lips like red wine
As you kiss other girls
Hoping I'll return to you
Only to find yourself
Writing a note with razor blades
Freshening your breath with vodka
Slitting your wrists
Getting a noose
And jumping
With scarlet stained skin
A note screaming sorry
And my name in your last breath
Hoping to join me

Extremely moving in such a way most people think unimaginable. The end is not what I suspected to happen but is masterfully tied to the story. Absolutely amazing! Keep it up!
