Days Drag On

Days Drag On

A Poem by Ainslie

Each day
The drags get longer
As my life gets shorter
And I'm told
There's nothing wrong
But they haven't been put out
As if they were nothing

Ah, another feeling I could relate to. People don't think anything is wrong until we see that person try the unthinkable, something like ending their lives or even trying. We never know when our lives are going to end, we can't predict what is going to happen each second of every day, but we can do the best we can for ourselves. We will have bad days in our lives, but no one will ever know "us" until they actually are us, getting in touch with our very deepest and shallowest of thoughts. I've learned in a movie called "The Rules of Attraction" that we never really "know" eachother...no matter how close we are to them. We are all human, people, but people don't know you or what you go through until they are actually you and living your life.
