Ode to a Rejection Letter

Ode to a Rejection Letter

A Poem by Aino A Järvinen
"

Because rejection hurts, but symbolism can help...

"

Many thanks, kind one,

Possessing the mercy of correspondence.

All this time, multifarious minutes,

The silence screams so loud.

And then, what this?

Word! A letter.

Alack! Alack!

My dreams are dashed.

It seems we are not meant to be.

No partnership shall come from this,

No commission, no Providence.

Alas! Now we part our ways.

I turn and walk away,

With humbled pride, and feigned smile.

And I continue on.
